“Master, let’s go check out the Beast Arena. It’s a specialty of Cloud City,” Chen Changsheng suggested.
Lu Xuan nodded casually. “Lead the way.”
On their way, they passed by a restaurant.
Lu Xuan glanced at it. “Let’s try the food here first.”
Ji Fuyao smiled brightly. “Sounds wonderful, Master!”
The Silver-haired Woman chimed in, “Let Chen Changsheng foot the bill. He’s loaded.”
Chen Changsheng: “…”
They entered the restaurant, and a server led them to a private room.
Lu Xuan looked at the menu.
Every dish here required Star Stones for payment! Spirit Stones were utterly useless!
In the Fallen Star Sea, Star Stones were categorized into Lower-grade, Middle-grade, Upper-grade, and Top-grade!
Previously, within the Bronze Ancient Palace, they had mostly acquired Lower-grade Star Stones. However, these were more than sufficient. After all, Lower-grade Star Stones were the most common within and outside the Fourth Star Ring. Due to the way the Star Ring gathered stellar power, the Rule Power of the Fourth Star Ring could only condense Lower-grade Star Stones.
In recent times, Lu Xuan had casually dispatched several Ice Soul Realm elders and Ji Family Old Ancestors, so his spatial rings held a considerable amount of Star Stones. But compared to Chen Changsheng, it was naturally nothing. Chen Changsheng had refined the Bronze Ancient Palace and now had exclusive access to all its Star Stones!
Since Chen Changsheng was treating today, Ji Fuyao and Xuanji Holy Lord, without a hint of politeness, only picked the most expensive items.
The server’s smile was exceptionally bright.
“Giant Tiger Meat, one thousand Lower-grade Star Stones!”
“Boiled Starfish, three thousand Lower-grade Star Stones!”
“Seven-Star Herb Salad, eight hundred Lower-grade Star Stones!”
“…”
And finally, “Vegetarian Kun Meat…”
The server quickly clarified, “Esteemed guests, this is not real Kun meat. The Kun race is incredibly powerful; even Cloudrise Holy Land lacks the ability to capture them!”
Lu Xuan waved a hand. “Understood.”
Once the server left, Ji Fuyao asked, “Is the Kun a Great Demon of the Fallen Star Sea?”
Chen Changsheng nodded. “Just as the Supreme Fox Clan possesses the talent for Charm Arts, the Kun race’s innate talent lies in spatial power. And even more powerful are the Void Kun!”
“Void Kun!” Ji Fuyao and Xuanji Holy Lord exchanged a bewildered glance.
Chen Changsheng elaborated, “Near our Tai Chu Realm, there’s a colossal black hole known as ‘The Void.’ It’s said that within this Void resides an even mightier branch of the Kun race—the Void Kun! These Void Kun have even developed an additional innate talent: the ability to wield Fallen Power!”
Ji Fuyao seemed to grasp it. “I always thought ‘The Void’ was a place of absolute death and decay. I never imagined life could exist there.”
Lu Xuan said calmly, “Where there is life, there is death. Where there is death, there is life. There is no absolute stillness.”
Ji Fuyao nodded, a spark of understanding in her eyes. She had comprehended!
Chen Changsheng offered a mysterious smile, turning to Lu Xuan. “Master’s spatial power is already terrifyingly profound, reaching an unparalleled level. I suspect Master has a connection with the Kun race, perhaps even having taken a Kun as a disciple.”
Lu Xuan: “…”
Seeing Lu Xuan offer no denial, everyone chuckled. Just as they suspected!
A twitch played on Lu Xuan’s face. He felt like King from One-Punch Man. His power was entirely a figment of everyone else’s imagination!
Soon, steaming hot dishes were served, and everyone began to eat.
Lu Xuan gave a casual assessment. “Not bad.”
Before long, they finished their meal and headed towards the Beast Arena.
The two Ji Family Old Ancestors, Ji Qianshan and Ji Ruhai, were still at the entrance of the Beast Arena. However, they were now merely Chen Changsheng’s puppet clones.
The two Ji Family Old Ancestors ushered Lu Xuan and his disciples into a VIP box within the Beast Arena.
From their vantage point, Lu Xuan and the others looked down upon an unimaginably vast circular plaza. It was a self-contained world, the arena itself spanning hundreds of thousands of miles! This immense scale was necessary because the demon beasts fighting here were all Quasi-Dao Supremes, at minimum! Once a battle erupted, even this vast space felt insufficient.
Beyond the circular plaza, endless, dazzling seals and prohibitions shimmered, flowing with iridescent light like surging stars. The ground within bore the scars of countless battles, ripped by dozens of fissures, with many mountains collapsed and the remnants of combat strewn everywhere.
At this moment, the arena was packed to the brim. With only two days left until the Supreme Fox Clan remnant’s battle, and the impending arrival of Liu Ruyan, a massive crowd had descended upon Cloud City’s Beast Arena!
Soon, a colossal wolf demon was led out. Its eyes glowed crimson, and its true form was as massive as a small mountain, already covered in scars. Yet, from countless battles, it exuded a bloody, violent aura of killing intent and ferocity. The aura of a Three-star Supreme pulsed around it!
“Roar!” The wolf demon’s howl tore through the void, shaking the very ground beneath its feet.
On the other side, a Titan Ape was led forth! It was none other than the Titan Ape Old Ancestor, the former Demon Lord of the Southern Wilds Demon Court!
Ji Fuyao paused, a flicker of divine light in her eyes. “Is that… the Demon Court’s Supreme Old Ancestor?”
Chen Changsheng nodded.
Both Ji Fuyao and Xuanji Holy Lord looked on with astonishment.
For the Titan Ape’s current state was far from good. One of its arms was grievously wounded, bleeding profusely, and parts of its rock-solid body were deeply caved in. There was no trace of the Demon Lord’s former majesty; it looked like a stray dog, utterly defeated.
Xuanji Holy Lord and Ji Fuyao exchanged a glance, both sighing. “To think the Demon Lord has fallen to such a state?” Ji Fuyao murmured. “Even after breaking through the Supreme Path and reaching the Fallen Star Sea, he’s still just a bottom-tier existence!”
A ripple of emotion stirred within them. How fortunate they were to have their Master! Otherwise, venturing out of the Tai Chu Realm, they too would face an arduous and difficult path!
Soon, the battle in the arena began!
The wolf demon, like a moving mountain, surged with a terrifying ‘Stance.’ Its bloodthirsty, berserk aura swept forth like a tide, its sharp claws gleaming like Spirit Swords, tearing through the void as it lunged directly at the Titan Ape.
“Rule Power!” The Titan Ape’s body erupted in a blinding golden light, shimmering like a colossal sun. Intricate Dao patterns materialized, and its surging vital energy roared like an endless ocean.
“Demon God Transformation!” Its body swelled to an even more immense size, rising from the ground like a towering monument. It unleashed a devastating punch directly at the wolf demon!
Boom! Two heaven-shaking powers collided, creating a massive shockwave that rippled through space. Both Great Demons were sent reeling back tens of thousands of feet!
Just then, the communication jade slip in Chen Changsheng’s robe vibrated incessantly. His divine sense probed it, and the voice of Cloud City Lord Wang Qi emerged.
“Ji Ruhai, you went to the Tai Chu Realm. How are things there now?”
Chen Changsheng looked at Lu Xuan. “Master, what should I tell him?”
Lu Xuan replied indifferently, “Whatever. Say anything.”
Chen Changsheng pondered for a moment, then said, “Ji Qianshan and I returned to the Tai Chu Realm, but there was a powerful expert there. We were no match, so we retreated immediately.”
Wang Qi scoffed. “The Tai Chu Realm? That bullet-sized place? What kind of expert could possibly be there? Even if there was one, did you not declare your identities as members of Cloudrise Holy Land? Outside the Fourth Star Ring, who dares to provoke us, Cloudrise Holy Land?”
Chen Changsheng stammered, “Uh… we forgot to mention it!”
Wang Qi exploded in a torrent of curses. “Damn it! You’re utterly useless! I’ll just ask the Ice Soul Realm elders. They also went to the Tai Chu Realm with some of their slaves! You two are truly worthless!”
